Get a claim code

Setup asks for a one-time code to register your box. If your stick came with one printed on the card, use that. Otherwise ask us for one and we will send it over.

Why there is a code at all

Registering gives your box a real address on the internet: yourname.serverstick.com, with a certificate, through our tunnel. That costs us something per box, so the code is how we keep it to people actually setting one up rather than a script taking ten thousand names.

Everything else works without us. You can skip registration entirely and run the box on your own network, or point it at your own domain. The code only gates the part we host.
